Klipfolio is really two products, and that split is the whole comparison. Choose Klipfolio if you need its 100+ native integrations, or if one or two people just want cheap metric tracking: PowerMetrics Launch works out around $36 a month, less than SimpleKPI. Choose SimpleKPI if you want flat pricing and AI in the same product. One $79 a month plan ($67 billed annually) covers unlimited users, dashboards, reports and KPIs, with forecasting and anomaly detection included rather than sold as a $45 add-on. What you actually pay
Klipfolio is two products with two price lists, so a single buyer has a choice to make. On your own, PowerMetrics Launch is the cheapest option on this page: $18 per user per month billed annually with a two-user minimum, so about $36 a month. That undercuts SimpleKPI at $67 a month billed annually. No spin: for a duo, Klipfolio is cheaper. The catch is in the caps rather than the invoice. Launch stops at 50 metrics, and forecasting and outlier detection live in a $45 a month Advanced Analyses add-on, which lifts the real total to roughly $81. The other lane, Klips, starts at $120 a month billed annually with unlimited users but only 3 dashboards, and no AI, forecasting or anomaly detection on any plan or add-on.
Add people and the lanes split. Klips holds flat: five or ten users still cost $120 a month, though the meter moves to dashboards instead (3 on Base, $8 a month per extra, or a step up to Grow at $190 for 10). PowerMetrics charges per seat: beyond the two included users, extra Launch seats run $220 per user per year, so a ten-person team pays about $1,760 a year in seat fees on top of the subscription, roughly $183 a month before the add-on. SimpleKPI charges the ten of them what it charges two: $79 a month.
At 25 people, Klips is still $120 to $600 a month depending on dashboard count, and since it never charges for people it remains a fair buy if display dashboards are all you need. PowerMetrics Launch at that size costs $5,060 a year in extra seats alone (23 at $220), still with a 50-metric cap, and Professional seats run $330 per user per year. SimpleKPI is the same $804 a year it was for one person. Klipfolio can match SimpleKPI on flat pricing or on AI, just never in the same product, and the product with the AI is the one that bills per seat.

Klipfolio lists 100+ integrations against SimpleKPI's 6 native connectors plus Zapier, spreadsheet import and a developer API. If your shortlist hinges on direct connectors to a wide stack, Klipfolio takes this one comfortably.
Threshold alerts that reach email
PowerMetrics goal notifications arrive in-app and by email, so a crossed threshold finds people who aren't logged in. SimpleKPI's Pulse alerts are in-app only. Neither vendor pushes threshold alerts to Slack or Teams, going by their own sites.
Cheapest entry for one or two people
PowerMetrics Launch is $18 per user per month billed annually with a two-user minimum, about $36 a month. That beats SimpleKPI's $67, provided 50 metrics is enough and you can live without the $45 add-on features.

No meters on dashboards or KPIs
Klips Base includes 3 dashboards and charges $8 a month for each extra; PowerMetrics Launch caps you at 50 metrics. SimpleKPI doesn't count dashboards, reports, KPIs or users at all.
Forecasting and anomaly detection included
On PowerMetrics Launch both sit in a $45 a month Advanced Analyses add-on, and Klips doesn't offer them at any price. SimpleKPI ships both in the flat plan.
AI you can use today, without credits
Klipfolio's assistant that explains why a number changed was still marked as coming soon (Spring 2026) on its own features page at our last check, its pricing table and announcement post disagree on whether AI needs a Professional add-on, and no usage caps are published anywhere on its own sites. SimpleKPI's AI already does the explaining, the forecasting and the anomaly flagging, with no credits or metering.
A bill that ignores headcount
Extra PowerMetrics seats cost $220 to $330 per user per year, so growth shows up on the invoice. SimpleKPI stays $79 a month whether five people log in or fifty.

What's the difference between Klips and PowerMetrics?
They're two separate Klipfolio products with separate pricing. Klips is the dashboard product: a flat account fee from $120 a month with unlimited users, metered by dashboard count, and no AI on any plan. PowerMetrics is the metrics product: per-seat from $18 per user per month with a two-user minimum, a 50-metric cap on the entry plan, and the AI features.
Is Klipfolio cheaper than SimpleKPI?

Does Klipfolio include AI?
Only in PowerMetrics, and with caveats. The current pricing table shows PowerMetrics AI on the entry Launch plan, but Klipfolio's own announcement post says it requires an add-on on the Professional plan, and the assistant that explains changes was still marked as coming soon (Spring 2026) at our last check. Klips has no AI, and Klipfolio publishes no AI usage limits for either product.

Klipfolio lists 100+ native integrations; SimpleKPI has 6 plus Zapier, spreadsheet import and a developer API. If you need direct connectors to a long list of tools, Klipfolio wins on count, comfortably. SimpleKPI covers common cases through Zapier and the API instead.
